Top 2015 Fitness Apps

There are many fitness app available to support your in your fitness journey, but I have put together a list of my favorite apps for you to try.  Most of these apps have free versions as well as extended paid version so you can give them a test run before committing. 

Fitness Builder:

It like your virtual fitness journal.  You can store your workouts, body calculations and even get new exercises ideas.  Learn More

Seconds:

The Seconds App is by far my favorite interval timer app.  It has templates such as high intensity or circuit training as well as customization timers. You can even sync it to your workout playlist (or you can use one of ours).  Learn More

Couch to 10K

This proven training program is now available to coach you through your phone.  If you are new to running or looking to extend your distance this is a great program. If you have already mastered a 5K you can skip ahead in this program.  It also syncs with your music, Nike+ and it works while your phone is locked (my favorite feature).  Learn More

Virtual Runner

Virtual runner takes you off the treadmill and into the zone. This app works with your treadmill and iPad.  Just download the app and your desired course whether that is the Boston Marathon route, along the Great Barrier Reef or the hills of Bali.  The app will slow down and speed up based on your pace.  Learn More

Headspace: 

Headspace is a guided meditation app that walks you through a 10-minute mediation to teach you the proper techniques.  Once you have mastered the 10 start program you can then customize your program and share with friends. Learn More

FitBit

Use this app on its own to track basic activity and runs, or connect with Fitbit’s line of activity trackers and the Aria Smart Scale to get a complete picture of your daily stats—including steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, weight, and more. Learn More
